IFAR is a not-for-profit educational and research
organization headquartered in New York. It works at the intersection of art
scholarship, art law, and the public interest. IFAR has hosted IFAR Evenings
since 1981. These are informal lectures and panels on topics related to IFAR's
core areas, including: art authenticity, ownership, theft, law and ethics.
Several IFAR Evenings are scheduled each year. The Evenings are offered gratis
to IFAR supporters, at reduced rate to IFAR Journal subscribers and full-time
students, and at modest cost to the general public.
